Fitness with friends at WLPC

I’ll be heading to WLPC for the first time since 2020 and I’m finally starting to get a little excited. Nate York, who first got me hooked on the WLPC run club unfortunately won’t be there, but I’m going to try and continue the spirit of it on his behalf. Below, you’ll find my plans for maintaining my fitness while in Phoenix. The offer is open to anyone and everyone and I’ll be using the hashtag of #WLPCFit on Twitter for communication and reminders. FIN 2013

2013 was a very eventful year and brought a lot of good things to my family and I. I changed jobs twice which brought me to an employer that I’ve wanted to work for over the past 2 years. The salary is decent, the benefits are good, and the people I work with are great! I have been challenged since day one to keep up with everything going on which is exactly what I was looking for. In addition to changing positions every quarter, I passed Juniper’s JNCIA-Junos exam, Microsoft’s MCITP (Windows 7) exam, and a couple of Cisco exams (SECURE and FIREWALL) that brought me closer to becoming CCNP Security certified.

Make the most of your opportunities

I’ve been afforded a lot of opportunities in my life and not all of them are what I would consider to have been earned. Most have been based on promise or potential while the rest were based on past performance, the latter being the vast minority. Depending on who you talk to and what their background is, people that know me might say that I lead a blessed life and others might say that I’m just plain lucky. To be honest, I am of the belief that I’m just plain lucky most of the time and have been in the right place at the right time so to speak. However, as time has passed, I must say that at times I feel like a higher power has been looking over me and guiding my path this entire time. Continue reading
